Price- 6.50$, In India you get this for Rs 650 and from several online shopping sites for Rs 520 for 3.5 gm.

My Take On This Product:

I never knew anything about cream blushes some six months back and used to think blushes come only in powder form. After going through several blog posts related to cream blushes, I ordered Nyx Cream blushes  from an online shopping site.I have purchased 4 shades in all and love each of these.I have-
-Rose Petal
-Natural
-Tea Rose
-Glow

Nyx Cream blushes are extremely creamy in nature and required in very less amount for that natural flush on your cheeks. These blushes come in similar packaging in black pan like that of Mac Cream blend blushes. There is a see through flip cap through which you can check the shade. These blushes impart dewy yet natural look however these are buildable and can be used to create intense effect too.

These blushes stay on my dry skin for some 4-5 hours without a primer. These blushes blend like dream, and I dont think makeup beginners will face any problem using it.

The shade glow is a barbie pink color blush which I wear only while going out for parties.I wont recommend this shade for everyday wear. This shade is not everybody's cup of tea. However this doesn't look ott if you apply very small amount and blend well.

Pros Of The Product:
-There are some 13 shades available in this range.
-These are damn reasonable for the quantity provided.
-I can never complete a cream blush entirely because we require so less each time.
-Quality is comparable with cream blushes of high end brands
-These blushes are buildable which I like a lot.
-These blushes impart dewy effect on my skin.
-They impart a natural flush which looks awesome.
-The blushes blend like a dream.
-These days available at several online shopping sites for great discounts.
-I love its packaging.
-Never ever broke me out.
-It doesn't have shimmers.

Cons Of The Product:
-These blushes contain mineral oil so may not suit some people.
-Oily skin people may not like the dewy effect.
-These are prone to melting during summer.
-You can go overboard with this particular shade Glow.
-In India these are sold at double their original price.

Rating:4.25 out of 5
Will I repurchase it? I wont need to, this will last me for a long time.

My Overall Recommendation: If you love barbie pink shade and long lasting dewy effect on your skin then surely go for this shade.

Ok this is me wearing the blush Glow in this pic. Me looking so plump ! :p

Sigma F 45 Buffer Brush

Hello Friends,
Recently I won the Giveaway conducted by Bhumika of the wonderful New Love Makeup blog. There were so many entries and I had never expected to win it.This really came out as a great surprise before New Year.

Price: 19$

What The Company Says?
Ideal to apply mineral foundation, loose or pressed powders. Also great to buff colors and obtain a soft, blended look. Natural bristles.

My Take On This Product:
Well Friends I seriously had to pinch myself hard when I read Bhumika's Message that I had won Sigma F 45 Buffer Brush in the giveaway conducted by her.

I have been using Body Shop Kabuki brush since 6 months and totally love it.Earlier I was using Vega Powder brush for applying loose powder on my face but that had a big handle which was really cumbersome for use.I really needed a Kabuki brush then.I do not like to use compact or loose powder with puff or sponge at all.Thats because of hygiene issues and also I get cakey application with each application.

The Sigma Kabuki brush has natural bristles and these are damn soft, you get a velvety soft feeling when you swip the brush on your face. The loose powder seems to melt on your skin imparting flawless yet natural look.
The bristles are compact yet very flexible enough to blend your compact and loose powder seamlessly on your skin.We can use this brush for applying liquid and mousse foundation, compact as well as loose powder. It never makes my foundation get streaky or my overall makeup look like too artificial. The bristles are quite dense and fluffy which I prefer a lot.Two or few bristles did shed with my first wash but never after that.It helps in blending harsh lines too. This is my first Sigma brush and Its a clear winner from Sigma definitely.

Pros Of The Product:
-It comprises of Natural bristles.
-Bristles are velvety soft and dense.
-The brush is quite fluffy which I prefer a lot.
-The bristles are quite compact and the brush is very sturdy so I hardly loose any bristles after washing.
-Its very travel friendly.
-Bristles are enough flexible and thus blend my foundation nicely in a jiffy.
-Its totally worth the price.
-Blends harsh lines to impart flawless yet natural makeup.
-It picks up adequate amount of the product required.

Cons Of The Product:
-Only can be purchased from their Official Sigma webpage.
-Shipping charges is very high.
-The brush did shade few bristles with first wash.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? I wont need to as I have Body shop Kabuki brush too.I intend to buy Sigma Travel kit in near future for sure.

My Overall Recommendation: Do  purchase it, you would never be disappointed with this product. Its a kind of one time purchase which will last for a long time.

Avon Trio Eye Shadow 'Midnight Luster'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review Avon trio Eye Shadow Midnight Luster which I had bought on offer some six months back.Do read on to know more!

 Price:Rs 399 for 4 gm, Rs 299 on offer.

Shades Available:
-Midnight Luster
-Onyx Quartz

What The Company Says?
Mix and match three shades to come up with different finish each time.

My Take On This Product:
I was instantly in love the moment I had seen this trio shadow in the Avon brochure on offer. Then I didn't own a single black eye shadow and wanted to have one badly. This trio looked perfect for me to create smokey eyes make up for parties as well as neutral eye make up for day wear.
Its a good trio, that comes in a sleek, classy black casing with a mirror and and eye shadow applicator which is totally useless. There are three shades:
-Matte Black Eye shadow
-Peachy beige Eye Shadow ( Pearl Finish)
-Bronzy Brown Eye Shadow ( Pearl Finish)
Some silver specks are unevenly distributed all over eye shadows which I don't like but it doesn't matter as the specks do not show up on my eyes. The texture of shadows are very soft and powdery so there is lots of product wastage. These are moderately pigmented shadows but buildable.

The peachy beige shadow will suit Indian skin tones a lot, I use this to highlight my brow bone mostly and sometimes mix it with the bronzy brown shade. The black matte shade is quite pigmented too.Overall I am impressed with the quality of the shadow and will recommend it to everyone.

Pros Of The Product:
-Its a beautiful trio which you can use to create both smoky and neutral eye make up.
-It comes with a mirror and an eye shadow applicator.
-The quantity provided is pretty good.
-Reasonable price when available on offer.
-Shadows are moderately pigmented but buildable.
-Staying power is near to 4 hours without primer and 5-6 hours with a primer.
-Texture is very soft and blends nicely especially the peachy beige shadow blends so nicely.
-None of the shades are chalky.
-Though there are silver specks here and there but thank god they do not show up on my lids distinctly.

Cons Of The Product:
-The eye shadow applicator is totally useless.
-I really do not like the silver specks on the black eye shadow.
-Without offer, I find this pretty costly.
-Due to powdery texture, there is lots of product wastage.
-Though in Avon brochure quantity mentioned is 4 gm but in the pack the mentioned net weight is 2.8 gm.
-We can get this only through Avon representatives.
-Contains Parabens.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No I don't think so.This one will last me for a long time indeed.

My Overall Recommendation: Do buy one of these when you find this on offer.

Faces Go Chick Lipstick 'Hazelnut'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review a lipstick recently launched by Faces Canada in their newly launched range 'Faces Go Chick Lipstick'.Its one of the most inexpensive lipsticks  from Faces Canada cosmetics.Do read on to know more.

Price- Rs 199 for 4.5 gm of lipstick.

My Take On This Product:
I had first seen this product at Healthkart but didn't buy it then due to delivery issues.I requested Chetana of StyleCraze.com to bring the shade Mulberry Slush for me.Within a week she brought up all the shades in Faces Go Chick Lipstick range. After checking all the shades I ordered the shade 'Hazelnut' which looked like a nice brown shade.

Faces Go Chick Lipstick comes in similar outer carton like those of other range of lipsticks from Faces Cosmetics. The Lipstick comes in a classy black casing with the sign Faces engraved on it.I like the packaging, its sturdy and good.

The Lipstick shade looks like an apricot shade with brown tones in day light and in natural light it looks like a nude brown lipstick with pink tones.I really love it.Its one of my MLBB Shade. The texture of the lipstick is quite smooth and glides nicely on my lips though not as smooth as Faces Satin Smooth and Faces Moisture rich Lipstick range. Its very moisturising too and I dont need any lip balm underneath. The pigmentation is good too but the staying power is only 2-3 hours. It doesnot survive a full meal at all.Thats why we get these at such reasonable price.Hazel nut shade is a matte shade ideal for day wear.
Pros Of The Product:
-Its a pretty apricot shade with brown tones with a hint of pink.
-It will be a nice MLBB Shade for many people.
-It glides smoothly on my lips.
-2 swipes are enough to provide full coverage.
-Imparts uniform lip coverage, never gets patchy.
-Its quite pigmented too.
-Its very moisturizing and thus I don't need any lip balm underneath.
-Its a matte lipstick ideal for day wear.
-Price is damn reasonable for 4.5 gm of lipstick.

Cons Of The Product:
-Its staying power is 2-3 hours maximum only.
-It does not survive after a meal.
-No description available at the site rather site is no more available. :p
-Its not transfer resistant.
-You can buy its from Style Craze.com and Healthkart.com only.
-Except one or too all shades are mauve based.
-Limited shades are available.
-Its not a transfer resistant lipstick.

Rating: 3.75 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes I am planning to buy another shade 'Fig' from this range.

My Overall Recommendation: I would definitely recommend this particular shade to all of you. This is a pretty shade and could be your MLBB Shade too.

Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush 'Day Sheer'

Hello Friends,
Currently I am at home so thats why could splurge a bit on Lakme absolute range this week.I wanted to try their baked blushes since the day I saw several bloggers posting swatches of it.I wanted to buy the shade Night Sheen but it was out of stock so I ended up buying the shade Day sheer. So did the blush woo me completely?? Do read on to know more.

What The Company Says?
Have irresistible rosy cheeks with Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush. It contains antioxidants and Vitamin E which hydrates and rejuvenates your skin. You can so easily fall in love with the luminous Blush as you use this luxurious powder for a shimmering glow.

Features
Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush is a luxurious powder blush for shimmering glow. Its extraordinary luminosity will make you fall in love with it.
Contains  antioxidants and vitamin E.
  • Get a shimmering glow with this luxurious powder blush
  • Extraordinary luminosity
  • Antioxidant Vitamin E
How to use
Day Look
  • With a brush gently sweep the blush across your cheeks using gentle upward strokes.
Night Look
  • To intensify the shimmer, first apply absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse over face and neck.
  • Then follow instructions for Day Look.
Price: Rs 550 for 4 Grams

My Take On This Product:
Recently I checked the Lakme Absolute range of Chromatic blushes at Pantaloons. In blog world some said Day sheer is a matte blush, some said shimmery and some said its a pink blush so I was kind of confused how it actually looked like.I was going to place my order online but then decided to check out the blushes myself at the stores before purchasing.

So I would like to tell you all that after checking I found Day Sheer blush to be shimmery and Night Sheen to be a subtle peachy copper blush thats imparts nice sheen.I wanted to buy Night Sheen but didnt buy that day and decided to buy the next day.

So next day when I arrived, the night sheen blush was sold, :( They had kept only one piece. So I ended up buying Day Sheer.

Day sheer blush comes in a pot with a transparent cover and a black attractive outer carton with a card mentioning instructions regarding application of blush during day and night time.
The blush is dome shaped and orangish- Bronze in color, Its a warm color which will suit Indian skin tones perfectly. The texture of the blush is quite soft in comparison with other baked blushes I have used till date due to which when you use a blusher brush, there is wastage of the product.Though the name is Day sheer, I can never think of wearing it during day time even in my wildest dreams. :p It has pronounced chunky gold sparkles distributed all over the blush. When I apply it on my cheeks, the blush looks pretty but the sparkles show prism like effect which I personally feel odd to wear it during daytime.During night one can wear it as blusher cum highlighter for sure.

Pros Of The Product:
-Very pretty orangish- bronze shade.
-This particular shade is apt for Indian skin tones.
-The texture of the blush is very soft and blends well.
-Its a pigmented blush, so you require just a bit.
-Staying power is near to 4 hours.
-Packaging and all is very attractive.
-It will work great as a highlighter.
-Its one of the cheapest baked blush available in the market.

Cons Of The Product:
-I cant ever think of wearing this blush during daytime.
-The sparkles are chunky and looks ott on my skin.
-The sparkles settles in my pores and accentuates my pores more.
-It kind of shows rainbow effect which I so dislike.
-The staying power of the color of the blush is very less. After two hours you are left with only the sparkles on your cheeks.
-Quantity is very less.
-The texture is soft, so there is lots of product wastage.
-Its damn pricy.
-I could not get any information from Lakme website regarding this blush.
-Very few limited shades are available.
-The lakme Absolute range is seriously over priced, over hyped and a total failure for me.Their matte lipstick was again a failure.
-Its not provided with a miror or brush.
-It will easily break if the blusher pot slips.

Rating: 2.75 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No way sweeties! I would not purchase a single product from Lakme Absolute Range anymore.I regret buying their blush and Matte lipstick Elegant Bloom.

My Overall Recommendation: Rather go for Night sheen blush but not for this one.It has sparkles that looks ott on skin.I wont recommend this costly blush to you people rather go for Deborah Milano baked blushes which are good for price and quantity at which they are available.
